Our story

Future Children International is a non-profitable organization founded by Mrs. Marie Fofanah Conteh who is dedicated and have the passion to help children in Sierra Leone and in the state to achieve their dreams of an educated and financially secured future. These organization was established in the commonwealth state of Virginia in 2016 and was later registered in Sierra Leone as an NGO working in three District namely Bombali, Port Loko and Tonkolili.

Vision

The vision of Future Children International is to see that our Future Children shall never lack both academically and financial support to attend schools of their choices regardless of their tribe, religion, ethnicity, race and origin of their families. In fulfilling this vision, the organization wants to brings a positive influence, hope and education to them so that our children around the world would identify and fulfilled their potentials in different career endeavor in life

Founder and CEO

Marie Fofanah-Conteh is an Entrepreneur, Professional Networker, Business Consultant, Philanthropist Founder and Chief executive officer for Prosperity Partners International, LLC (Connecting People & Needs Worldwide), Passion Allied Health Institute, and Future Children International  501(c)(3) and Nurse.

Marie Fofanah-Conteh has been serving in the medical arena for over 25 years and before becoming a full-time entrepreneur, Marie worked in various healthcare facilities, including George Washington University Hospital in Washington DC, Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Overall, Marie’s wealth of Nursing knowledge ranges from Pediatrics up to geriatric areas.

As a Consultant, Marie’s mission is to inspire, educate, empower, transform, and connect nurses, women and men who want to impact the world positively. Marie’s philosophy is to embrace all, work with the willing by training and employing individuals. Marie has a passion for ensuring each client under her span of control receives the quality of life they deserve. 

Alhaji Mohamed Kanu
Co-founder and President Sierra Leone

Alhaji Mohamed Kanu: Is a tutor and a results-oriented software developer and research professional working for Ubuntu Afrika Sierra Leone with five years’ experience in both development, research positions and teaching

His goal is to create software with the user in mind, creating applications with a usable and intuitive user interface experience. He also understands the importance of creating highly readable and easily maintainable source code. He is constantly striving to learn new technologies and looking for ways to better himself in this rapidly changing industry

 

Furthermore, Alhaji Mohamed Kanu is the President of Future Children International Sierra Leone branch an NGO which was started just after the Ebola Virus outbreak in Sierra Leone. He is dedicated and hard working person who have passion and love to interact with children.
